I am having a great time on my holiday here in St Ives in Cornwall. Yesterday, it was very sunny so we walked to the beach. I put on lots of sun-cream because I did not want to get burnt.
Can your pupils write and perform their own postcard and then use Augmented Reality to bring their postcard to life?
This Unit of Work is aimed specifically at Key Stage 1 but can be adapted for lower Key Stage 2. Through reading, deconstructing and then writing a postcard of a recent holiday, children will then perform their postcard as a greenscreen video and link it through Augmented Reality to create an interactive video postcard. Each app has a step-by-step guide for teachers who may feel less confident using the technology.
The aim is to cover all elements of the English curriculum in an engaging and purposeful way using a variety of media.
With a focus on both strands of Fluency: The Mechanics and Fluency for Meaning, this pack will help your learners appreciate the power of performing their writing.
The pack also contains contextualised SPaG sessions that focus on the simple past (regular and irregular), the use of capital letters for proper nouns and the formality of language with a focus on using apostrophes for contracted speech.
